Herring Matjes Fillets in Spicy Marinade

Also known as soused herring, our Matjes fillets are responsibly sourced from young herring which are particularly rich in Omega 3. Produced in Nyborg, Denmark to a traditional recipe. First they are cured and matured in brine to draw out excess water giving a firm texture, and then packed in a sweet vinegar-based marinade. The resulting ready-to-eat delicacy is flavoursome and packed with protein; ideal for a Scandi-Smörgåsbord or picnic-buffet!

Ready to eat: Delicious served on rye bread, or with a chopped potato salad with boiled-egg, apple and red-onion

Storage: Keep refrigerated. Once opened consume within 7 days and by date shown.
